Oprah Winfrey claims that using weight loss medications altered her perception of thin people
The 70-year-old remarked, «I assumed that those who were thinner simply had more willpower.»

Oprah Winfrey is talking about her epiphany on «thin people.»
The former talk show host discussed obesity and weight reduction drugs with clinical psychologist Dr. Rachel Goldman and physician scientist Dr. Ania Jastreboff of Yale University’s obesity medicine department on the January 14 episode of The Oprah Podcast.

Winfrey, 70, said that after taking weight-loss drugs herself, her perspective shifted.
«When I took a GLP-1 for the first time, I realized that I had assumed that people who were thin simply had stronger willpower for all these years,» she stated. «They consumed better food.» They may maintain it for a longer period of time. They didn’t have.

She went on, «And then I realized that, oh, they’re not even thinking about it the very first time I took the GLP-1.» «They stop eating when they’re full and only eat when they’re hungry.»
Winfrey claimed that if you are obese, such way of thinking just «doesn’t work.» Later in the chat, she talked about the issue of food loudness, which was highlighted in the episode that aired on January 21. The multihyphenate actor stated that even after using weight loss medications to reduce their body weight, people who struggle with obesity will «always have to live with it.»
