The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 29, said during a press conference in New Orleans on Tuesday, Feb. 4, that he has built a “great” friendship with Taylor Swift, 35, since she began dating his teammate Travis Kelce.
“Taylor being at all the games has been awesome,” Patrick said at the conference ahead of the Chiefs upcoming Super Bowl game, per KMBC 9 News.
“…I just know Taylor better now and I feel like I’ve built a great friendship with her. And my wife and Taylor have a built a friendship as well,” he added of his wife Brittany Mahomes.
Patrick also discussed the impact Swift attending games has on younger generations who may not have been football fans before — including his own daughter.
“It’s been awesome to showcase her bringing light to the sport that I love and getting little girls like my daughter into it and watching the game,” he said, per the outlet. “…So it’s just cool to see how football can bring people together from every aspect of life.»
