Prince William and Kate Middleton are taking a family vacation in the Caribbean instead of participating in the 2025 BAFTAs
After a ski vacation in the Alps, this is the royal family’s second trip this year.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are not attending the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) in 2025.
The Mail reported on Sunday that the royal couple is on holiday on the Caribbean’s private island of Mustique and will not be present at the annual awards ceremony on Sunday, February 16, at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
According to the publication, William, 42, and Kate, 43, brought their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, to the island on Thursday, February 13.The pair took a private airplane to Saint Lucia, according to a source who spoke to The Mail on Sunday.
Even though Prince William is the head of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, PEOPLE previously reported on February 10 that the royal pair will not be attending the awards ceremony.
Rather, as part of the honors, he will be featured in a video package. On Wednesday, February 12, William also went to the London Screen Academy. At the yearly ceremony, the Prince of Wales frequently appears on the red carpet with his spouse by his side.
William attended the ceremony alone in 2024, just after it was revealed that Kate had had stomach surgery, while the two most recently went together in 2023.
The Princess of Wales disclosed that she was receiving cancer treatment a month later.
