“When my creativity and freediving skills matched, it was destiny,” she told Fox News Digital.
Emma’s impressive skill is the ability to hold her breath for 4 minutes. However, the girl is a maximalist — in the future she wants to improve her result and try to increase the time to 6 minutes.
And Harber can dive very deep into the water. For the first time, she dived to a depth of 15 meters below sea level. Now she calmly dives to 20 meters and even deeper.
Moreover, Emma swims under water exclusively with a mermaid silicone tail, which she affectionately calls «Pollock».
“Freediving sessions help you gain confidence in the ocean and learn more about the sea and how healing it is,” says the mermaid.
According to Harper, she always needs to stay in good physical shape in order to successfully perform her job. This is important at low water temperatures throughout the year.
“I need to be at sea almost every day to adjust to the UK water temperature. By the way, now I can no longer take hot baths, ”she said.
