The annual fashion spectacular, held by Vogue at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, returned for another year to promote the new exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
Some of the world’s biggest showbiz figures adopted the dress code, which for this edition was The Garden of Time, named after J.G. Ballard’s dystopian short tale.
While there were plenty of flowers at the event, which was co-hosted this time by Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Wintour, and Zendaya, others took a far more liberal approach to the theme and the quantity of clothes they wore.
Rita, 33, walked the carpet with filmmaker husband Taika Waititi, 48, wearing a gown made largely of beads. Her second appearance, however, showed her openly exposing her brеast in a completely translucent gown with
a flower-shaped white cutout across her hips and strands of pearls making up the skirt. To keep warm, the Hot Right Now hitmaker donned similar white sneakers and a large white fur coat off the shoulder.
