World Biкini Day is celebrated annually on July 5th. The holiday dates back to 1946, when designer Jacques Heim introduced his swimsսit model called «Atom».
Later it was finalized by Louis Reard, making the new bathing suit for women even more frank and revolutionary. The name was inspired by the US Army’s nuclear weapons tests on Biкini Atoll.
