The Duchess of Sussex dropped by Godmothers, a brand-new bookshop close to Montecito, on the spur of the moment. Adding a touch of charm to her latest bookstore visit was Meghan Markle.

On September 2, the Duchess of Sussex was seen leaving Godmothers, a brand-new bookshop in Summerland, California, which is close to her house in Montecito.
Ahead of its formal launch, Meghan appeared to be taking a sneak peek at the new business co-owned by literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh and cosmetics entrepreneur Victoria Jackson.

She was dressed casually in a huge straw sun hat, blue cardigan, her gold Cartier Juste le Clou necklace, and Ray-Ban aviators.
Meghan, 43, was spotted wearing a leather matchbook keychain by Anya Hindmarch as she exited the bookshop. The whimsically designed $310 keyring resembles a matchbook and is imprinted with a sweet admonition to «Take What You Need,» along with positive phrases like «hugs,» «love,» «patience,» and «smiles.»

On September 7, Meghan gave a speech at Godmothers’ inaugural weekend event, which also featured a visit from her friend Oprah Winfrey. According to Town & Country, she expressed her gratitude to the bookstore’s founders in her remarks, saying,
«For not just creating the space, but for holding the space for so many people to feel seen through the pages, either in laughter, in grief, or in feeling less alone.»
