Selena Gomez explains her inability to carry her own child in her statement
Selena Gomez declared that her inability to carry a child is «not shameful» and explained why she’s so open with the public about her health journey.

Selena Gomez is getting vulnerable about her decision to share that she’s unable to carry children.
The Only Murders in the Building actress, 32, declared that her health struggles are «not shameful» and spoke to the power in being honest with the public about her reality.

«I truly believe that there is power in being vulnerable and telling people when you need help or when you want help,» Selena said at a Women in Film dinner in Beverly Hills on Sept. 19, per footage shared from the event. «So yeah, I shared that I can’t carry a child. Yeah, I shared that I have bipolar. F–k off.»
She added, «That’s what my life is. That’s who I am.»

Selena, who was seated next to her 11-year-old sister Gracie Elliot Teefey at the event, passionately explained that the reason
she’s so open about her health journey is because she wants women to feel seen and to show that she doesn’t have it all figured out.
