Selena Gomez is commended by Flavor Flav for being so open about her health and mental health
After spoken extensively about his admiration for Taylor Swift, the founder of Rare Beauty, Flav finally lends his support to Gomez.

On Nov. 5, Flavor Flav, who has recently been quite vocal about his adoration for Taylor Swift, came to X (previously Twitter) to show his appreciation for the «All Too Well» singer’s close friend Selena Gomez and to draw attention to her candor about her physical and mental health.
The Public Enemy rapper, 65, posted a picture of Selena Gomez, 32, with the caption, «I don’t know her personally,,, but Selena Gomez is one of the STRONGEST and MOST BEAUTIFUL people inside and out.»
«I commend her for being so transparent about her health and mental health,» he continued.
She should not have to clap back to haters, but I still commend her for doing so.»
The Rare Impact Fund was established by Gomez, who has been transparent about her bipolar disorder and lupus diagnoses, to help «organizations increasing access to youth mental health services and education globally,» according to the organization’s website.
Established in 2020 as the charitable division of her Rare Beauty brand, the Rare Impact Fund receives 1% of all cosmetics purchases.
The Emilia Pérez actress discussed her go-to methods for safeguarding her mental health in an interview with PEOPLE in October. She said, «Try not to isolate,» at the time.
«I think it’s important to have moments alone,» Gomez said. «But when you isolate, sometimes those feelings can just stay bottled up.»
