In addition to sharing her thoughts on the good news, Debbie Gibson, the grandmother of the singer and actress, posted a series of Instagram pictures that gave fans a peek into the family’s celebration of her granddaughter’s engagement to Benny Blanco.
Gibson posted a family photo featuring herself and husband David Cornett, as well as the recently engaged pair, posing side by side in their house.
In the photo, Gomez was seen grinning broadly as she raised her left hand to reveal her new engagement ring, and her grandparents were also grinning with pride.
Given that Gomez and Blanco were spotted wearing the same attire as the Only Murders in the Building star’s social media post breaking the news, it looks as though the shot was taken soon after the engagement.
The music producer donned a red and white striped shirt over a green hoodie, while the actress chose a black jumper.
On Thursday, December 12, she uploaded a photo with the comment, «Bring on the happy-ever after.»
On the same day, she posted another photo of herself and her granddaughter cuddling up close during the festivities. Gomez once again proudly displayed her new engagement ring while sporting navy blue sweatpants and a pink hoodie.
