In a July 12 Instagram photo, Stone, 66, reproduced her iconic crossed-legs pose from the 1992 pornographic film Basic Instinct. She captioned the image, «BASICALLY ….YOURS,» referring to the film’s title.
Seated in a fur chair with gold trimmings, the Casino actor posed in a red lace bra and underwear pair. She finished her sеxy outfit with strappy blue heels and a hefty white necklace.
In the film’s classic interrogation room scene, her character, Catherine Tramell, sits in a short white dress (which she maintained after the shoot) as a number of male police officers question her about the murder of retiring rock star Johnny Boz.
She uncrosses her legs and flashes the investigators while still on the chair.
Stone has reproduced the scene before. In November 2019, while winning GQ’s Woman of the Year award, she had Billy Porter bring out a chair for her onstage. Wearing a sparkly black minidress and heels, she struck her signature posture and invited the audience to join her.
She questioned the audience, «Do you feel empowered?»
Stone revealed in her 2021 book, The Beauty of Living Twice, that she was fooled into not wearing panties to film the scene because her white underwear reflected the sun.
