In an interview with Vogue that was released in November 2022, Rihanna discussed the lengths she took to write «Lift Me Up» for the movie while juggling being a new mother. In May, Rihanna gave birth to her first child with A$AP Rocky; at the end of December, she posted the first video of him on her TikTok.
She claimed that after giving birth to her baby, «I had a brief break, then came back, and now I’m back outside.» But despite being back in the spotlight, she is dealing with a new type of exhaustion as a new parent.
