Taylor Swift’s response to both kind and C by Katy Perry quip gains notoriety: see the honest moment
Swift turned to face her pal Jack Antonoff, who gestured for her to smile.
There seems to be a part of Katy Perry’s 2024 MTV Video Music Awards speech that Taylor Swift could relate to.
Perry, 39, joked in her acceptance speech after winning the Video Vanguard Award on Wednesday, September 11, that the LGBTQ+ community had shown her «that you can be both kind and c—.»
In a moment that instantly went viral on social media, Swift, 34, seemed to concur. In a video posted by Bustle, Swift was seen grinning as she turned to face her partner and friend Jack Antonoff, who was seated next to her, after Perry spoke the sentence. Next, as the vocalist of «Anti-Hero» nodded, Antonoff, 40, pointed at her.
Swift performed a combination of her greatest hits while dancing and singing along to Perry’s classics, including «E.T.», «Teenage Dream,» and «California Gurls.» Perry was the Vanguard winner. Months after Perry saw an Eras Tour event in Sydney, Australia, in March, the crowd offered support.
The singer of «Firework» posted a video of herself singing along to «Bad Blood,» which is presumably a song about their tumultuous past friendship, coupled with a picture of herself backstage with Swift during the Eras tour.In 2020, Perry discussed with Howard Stern the reasons behind her and Swift’s decision to set aside their disputes, describing their current relationship as «super friendly.»
«In life, rumors can travel via elevators, but the truth must ascend stairs.» All it takes is time,» Perry remarked.
