Emily Blunt’s Devil Wears Prada role may be iconic — but to her kids, it was also a bit scary!

“They thought I was the meanest person they’ve ever met,” Blunt said of their reaction to Charlton, a high-strung assistant at fictional fashion magazine Runway.

But others appreciated the character far more, as she told the outlet that her lines from the film are still “quoted to me every week.”

“It’s incredible that it has such an indelible fingerprint on people,” she said.

The film’s lasting imprint is especially “incredible” because, as Blunt pointed out to Page Six, it was her “first big movie.”

«I remember my agent calling me and telling me about the opening weekend,” she recalled of its box-office success. “I was like, ‘Is that good?’ Like, I didn’t know what was good.”
