The dog suffered from loneliness, but today he is happy, and his wet nose is beneficial
A five-year-old beagle named Murray couldn’t even imagine how his life would change and his fate would take such an unexpected turn. At first the dog was abandoned, unhappy and very lonely. And he also had a terrible injury to his ear, which made him suffer…
When the dog was three years old, he went to a shelter. The thin, frightened baby needed serious medical attention – he needed part of his ear amputated. In addition, the dog’s tail was tied, so that blood did not circulate there.

Fortunately, the tail was saved, but the right ear was shortened. After the operation, the dog recovered, but he needed socialization. Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter volunteers believe Murray was kept in a cage, with no human contact.
«He was scared and shy, so we assume the dog was sitting in a cage or aviary, where he didn’t pay attention at all. But he yearned for love and care! said the shelter staff.

Fortunately, Murray’s life soon changed for the better, as he became interested in an organization that trains dogs for airport service. After proper training, the glorious dog entered the Beagle Brigade group, where he joined the dogs working for the good of the fatherland.
The task of Murray and his four-legged “colleagues” is to ensure the safety of passengers and the search for substances that can become potentially dangerous to human health. The dog is trusted to sniff travellers’ things, and, it should be noted, the dog does a great job with a responsible task!

He helped confiscate forbidden items and saved many people! An owner named Amabel, who works with the dog, says that for the dog it is not routine work, but real entertainment, because for each find he receives a reward in the form of a treat! But the most important thing is that the dog literally bathes in attention and love! And that’s exactly what Murray was trying so hard to do!
At the age of nine, the beagle will retire, and then it will become an ordinary pet. In all likelihood, he will live with Amabel as a four-legged friend! Well, we wish the animal success in its hard “work” and we are sincerely happy that the dog is no longer alone!
