He excavated a unique pool for himself here using only his hands and a stick, and he built something resembling a hermit’s cottage in the centre of the artificial reservoir. The author meticulously documented the entire construction process.
The man found a construction site that was close to ideal. The swimming pool and «villa» are erected deep in the Cambodian forest, where the clay soil provides a nearly limitless field of invention for the normal worker.
