A young boy in St. Louis went missing from his home, and it took the assistance of a neighbor and the family dog to find him and return him to his father. One of the toddler’s neighbors noticed him walking around the neighborhood with a strange dog accompanying him the entire time. The dog appeared to be keeping an eye on the child and ensuring that he returned home safely.
It is unknown how young Kh’amorion Taylor managed to sneak out of his house and into the neighborhood, but the fact that he has returned is all that matters at this point.
A local resident was out walking her own dogs around 8 a.m. about a month ago when she noticed Kh’amorion with his new furry friend, a large pit bull. She was about a month away from relocating to the area at the time.
«I knocked on the doors up and down the street,» this anonymous neighbor was quoted as saying. Knocked on the doors, no one answered; no one who did answer recognized the child.»
And, despite the fact that she continued to knock on doors for several hours, this neighbor kept the child with her the entire time.
Despite the fact that he was dressed in his pyjamas and was barefoot, she commented that he appeared to be in great shape. «It takes a village,» she says, and «children, especially, are innocent.» She was never going to abandon him like that.
«It is important that we stick together, that we help each other, that we return to the things that our grandparents and their community used to do,» the neighbor continued. That we foster a sense of community.»
The father learned of his son’s disappearance after reading a social media post. He mentioned that he might take in the stray dog who had aided his son on his journey.
