The poor bait dog, who has lost a portion of his face and ear, is unable to stop moving his tail
When an animal shelter received this pit bull named Abigail, she was mistreated.
That’s understandable given that he had lost a portion of her face skin as well as her entire ear. The veterinarian explained that Abigail had suffered several terrible wounds as a result of previous dogfightings in which he had participated.
She was honored as «HeroDog of the Year» at the American Humane Association’s annual awards gala.
When photos of her injuries first appeared on Facebook a year ago, Victoria Fraser, the manager of the non-profit organization ‘Love is FurEver Dog Rescue,’ decided to intervene to save her from a bad situation.
He was worried that Abigail would be euthanized, so he took her to the Pets first-wellness center for wound-healing and a regenerative skin transplant.
Fraser began to cover Abigail’s head with a headscarf after she had lost her right ear, and our star, Abigail, was back, safe and sound.
As a result of seeing what he wore on his head, network users began sending him more hats and other accessories.
Abigail moved into her new eternal home in Fort Mayers, Florida, to live happily with Megan and Jason Steinkers.
Megan once said the following. «You can see how he looke like several months ago, and how he is today. «My dog is so cute, loving and forgiving, his kind nature will absolutely inspire other people to save stray dogs».
Abigail won the award for hero of the year at the 16th Beverly Hills ceremony, which took place in September.
