The public can now see inside Buckingham Palace for the first time thanks to a new tour that takes them inside the chamber where the British royal family meets before entering the palace’s renowned royal balcony.

On special events like coronations, jubilees, and Trooping the Colour, members of the royal family, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate, congregate on the balcony to wave to the public.

The balcony is only accessible to members of the royal family, and no one from the general public has ever gotten this near to it since it was constructed 175 years ago until the new palace tour, which starts on July 15.

Charles wanted to make the palace accessible to the public, and the East Wing recently underwent a five-year refurbishment that made this possible.

«Everything has been returned as a result of that [renovation project] being finished. Surveyor of the King’s Works of Art at the Royal Collection Trust Caroline de Guitaut told ABC News’s Maggie Rulli,
