Even after Martin Scorsese suggested that she may cover herself for the sequence, Margot Robbie has revealed why she insisted on full-frontal nudity in The Wolf of Wall Street.

The 34-year-old Australian actress made her Hollywood debut in 2013 when she portrayed Naomi Lapaglia, the affluent stockbroker Jordan Belfort’s wife, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
According to Collider, the film made around $400 million at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing picture in the 82-year-old director’s entire career.
Additionally, it received nominations for a number of prizes, including five at the 86th Academy prizes ceremony: Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. DiCaprio and Hill were nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.
The Australian diva tries to woo her husband by showing up fully nude in a pivotal sequence of the classic film.

On the Talking Pictures podcast, Robbie revealed that at first, Scorsese recommended that she wear a robe if it made her feel more at ease, but the Babylon alum had another suggestion that she thought was better suited for the role.

In response to the filmmaker’s offer, she stated on the podcast, «That’s not what she would do in that scene,» as reported by E! News.
«The whole point is that she’s going to come out completely naked — that’s the card she’s playing,» she stated.While working on the project, Robbie made some audacious yet inventive choices.
