There was no other choice! A woman organized an accident to save people
A 27-year-old resident of Arizona caused an accident on the road, but instead of a fine, she received the title of “savior angel”. Shannon Vivar crashed into a car that was rushing at full speed into a family with a one-year-old baby. The eerie scene was captured by a road camera.
That evening, Shannon was returning home from the supermarket with Shirley’s mother and three-year-old child. Suddenly, the mother of the woman screamed in horror. She saw a jeep speeding through a red light straight into a couple with a stroller.
The driver of the SUV did not even think to slow down, and the pedestrians would hardly have had time to avoid the blow: they did not even see the car that was rushing in their direction.
The only one who could prevent the tragedy that night was Shannon. In the last seconds before the collision, she rammed the jeep, preventing it from hitting people.
“I don’t remember if I accelerated or hit the brakes, but as soon as the impact happened, I was lost in time and space,” Shannon admits.
The intruder’s car flew just a few centimeters from a family with a child. Parents in horror rushed to run towards the sidewalk. Luckily, neither they nor their baby were hurt.
“We didn’t see that jeep. We heard only the squeal of tires, everything happened in a second, ”says the miraculously saved family.
But Shannon fared worse. She received minor injuries, and the rescuer’s car is now smashed to smithereens.
As it turned out, the driver of the jeep, who almost killed the whole family, was very drunk. Ernesto Otanes Oveso, 28, wanted to flee the scene of the accident. And when the witnesses tried to stop the violator, he began to threaten them with a knife.
Fortunately, the driver of the jeep was arrested. In addition to drunk driving, he is also charged with aggravated assault and possession of an unregistered firearm.
As for Shannon, she doesn’t consider herself a hero.
“Although I didn’t intend to do this, it seems to me that it should have happened,” the heroine says.
However, due to a serious accident, the Shannon family got into debt. The woman’s husband even asked for help on the Internet. But the good deed did not go unnoticed. Upon learning of the incident, representatives of one of the largest American car dealers gave Shannon a new car.
“She is a real hero. Therefore, we thank Shannon for this wonderful act, ”said the company representatives to the savior.
