The girls are in the Guinness Book of Records because of how they were born. Amy was the first to arrive, followed by Katie. Everything would be perfect if the sisters weren’t separated by 87 days. Maria was 38 years old when she learned she was expecting her third child.
She and her husband, Chris, were overjoyed. They already had two children, Olivia, who is 18, and Jack, who is two years Olivia’s junior. Maria was certain of her thoughts following the first ultrasound. The doctor confirmed that the woman was carrying two infants.
Everything proceeded well with the pregnancy until 23 weeks, and the mother-to-be worked until the end of May.
