This labrador was saved from alcohol addiction after his owner passed away
British veterinarians have proven that they are capable of anything. The Telegraph writes that doctors were able to cure a Labrador named Koko, who suffered from alcoholism.

After the death of the owner, the dog, along with another dog, ended up in a shelter for homeless animals. Employees found out that due to the lifestyle of the owner, Koko and his friend became addicted to alcohol.
Lack of alcohol caused them to have convulsions. When the dogs were shown to veterinarians, they realized that the animals were suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

After the owner died, the dog and another dog wound themselves in a shelter for homeless animals. Employees discovered that Koko and his companion grew addicted to alcohol as a result of the owner’s lifestyle.
Convulsions were triggered by a lack of alcohol. When the canines were shown to vets, they discovered that they were experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

“Dogs became addicted to alcohol when their owner left liquor before going to bed,” the newspaper quoted the shelter staff as saying.
As a result, veterinarians took up the animals. But they managed to save only Coco. They kept the dog in a medically induced coma for four weeks to relieve her of the seizures. According to the shelter staff, Koko has recovered, but is not yet ready for life in a new family.
