In honor of Reynolds’ 48th birthday, the Wrexham AFC co-chairman and friend of the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star revealed that he was working with Best Friends Animal Society to provide «the ultimate birthday surprise.»
Reynolds, whose birthday is Wednesday, October 23, shared a video of McElhenney, 47, on Instagram, stating that Best Friends commemorated the event by naming all of the animals up for adoption after the Deadpool star.
The two usually give each other unusual presents on their birthdays. Reynolds had commissioned a portrait of McElhenney that was inspired by the Titanic, and McElhenney gave Reynolds
«Unconditional love is the best gift for Ryan,» McElhenney clarified. The actor quipped that a very strong Hollywood lawyer would issue a restraining order if anyone attempted «to give him that unconditional love.»
He therefore has a suggestion. In order to «show him with love and affection,» everyone ought to have their own Ryan Reynolds.
«All of the puppies, senior dogs, cats, kittens, horses, pigs, bunnies, birds, and a turtle and a donkey were renamed after Reynolds by Best Friends Save Them All,» he stated. «Through the end of the month, I will match all donations to Best Friends, dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, if you would like to help take care of all these adorable Ryans.»
