The 51-year-old model was questioned about the destruction during her appearance on the Australian breakfast show Sunrise on Monday, January 20.
Banks, who has a 9-year-old son named York with her ex-boyfriend Erik Asla, stated that «some are doing okay, some are not doing so great» when discussing her family and friends.
When asked if she knew anyone who had lost their home, she replied, «I’m one of them.» «I lost my house.»
Banks went on, «I haven’t really talked about it, but, yeah, I have.» «I haven’t really talked about it because I didn’t want to draw too much attention to myself because I think there are many people who deserve it, but I can’t sit here and keep my mouth shut, so yes, we lost our house.»
The celebrity continued by disclosing that she and her partner, Louis Bélanger-Martin, discovered their home had been destroyed while they were at a friend’s property in Australia.
We were enjoying ourselves and celebrating. I kept checking my phone for friends and family, not for my house,» she remarked. «I just wanted to make sure that everything was evacuating.»
