Nobody would have expected to hear these astonishing sounds from a 9-year-old violin student. Soro Lavorgna is her name, and although being just nine years old, she is already well-known.
At the Prodiges finals, Soro sang a wonderful version of Vivaldi’s «Summer,» which was judged by cello virtuoso Gautier and a well-known opera singer and dancer from French television.
The programme features young artists who excel at singing, playing instruments, and dancing to classical music. In the finale of this episode, the French-Japanese violinist performed a new arrangement of Vivaldi’s «Summer» by Richter.
Capuçon, the contest’s supervisor, stated, «She made us happy.» For a 9-year-old, you are amazingly focused and persistent.
The music for Soro’s recital was provided by the orchestra’s conductor, Zahia. The other judges were almost as happy. Soprano is an acclaimed musician, whereas assessors Marie and Pietragalla are prima ballet dancers and choreographers. Sora was the event’s smallest contestant.
When she was four years old, she began violin lessons at the Cannes Conservatory.
In just five years, she has risen to a level of musical prowess, performing with incredible agility and accuracy.
She enjoys spending two hours every day perfecting her art. Even though Sora did not win the overall competition, her performance was praised.
Sacha, a 12-year-old ballet dancer, eventually won the prize, but Sora has a bright future ahead of her.
