Bernie Ecclestone is the man who was able to turn Formula 1 from a niche racing competition into a global phenomenon.

British tabloids dubbed him the «Father of Formula One». After World War II, Burney built one of the UK’s largest used car dealerships and in 1971 bought the Brabham racing team.
