Why a simple piercing turned into a whееlchair for a girl

Layan Diaz from Brazil was a real rebel in her teens. The girl especially loved piercings, even though her mother tried to dissuade her from being too fond of «punctures».
Liane decided to insert a third ring earring into the wing of her nose, since two seemed not enough to her. But it was this decoration that became fatal for the girl.
Less than a month later, however, Liane began to feel seriously unwell. The girl had a fever, severe pain in her legs made it difficult to move. Liane was rushed to the hospital.
The examination showed that Staphylococcus aureus got into the circulatory system, as the doctors explained, this often happens due to wounds in the nose. However, Liane was very delayed with treatment, the infection caused severe inflammation, due to which the vertebrae were squeezed.
The condition of the girl turned out to be extremely difficult, only an emergency operation saved her life. However, the spine was so affected that Lian completely lost sensation below the waist.
The girl ended up in a wheelchair and only her perseverance and strong character helped to cope at that difficult moment. Now Layan communicates with people with a similar problem and learns to live anew, not succumbing to new difficulties.
