Wolf of Wall street’s full-frontal nu de scene was Margot Robbie’s choice
Recently, Margot Robbie disclosed that she came up with the concept to have Leonardo DiCaprio and her perform a full-frontal scene in the 2013 film The Wolf of Wall Street.
Margot Robbie has been in charge all along.
The 34-year-old said she chose to be completely nude in a sequence where she seduces Leonardo DiCaprio’s character while thinking back on her breakthrough performance in The Wolf of Wall Street.
«That’s not what she would do in that scene,» Margot said on the Talking Pictures podcast in response to director Martin Scorsese’s offer for her to wear a robe in the scene. «The whole point is that she’s going to come out completely naked—that’s the card she’s playing.»
Additionally, Margot made other unconventional choices while working on the project. The Australian actress took a bold choice during the 2013 movie’s audition one she was afraid could land her in hot water.
«I thought, I could kiss Leonardo DiCaprio right now, and that would be awesome,» she said. «I am eager to share this with all of my friends. Then I thought, «Nope.» and simply struck him across the face.At first, the Barbie star recalled being anxious about Leonardo and Martin’s reactions to the daring move.
«It was dead silence for what felt like an eternity but was probably three seconds,» she said. «They simply started laughing at that point. Leo and Marty exclaimed, «I’m laughing so hard.»
