You have hardly seen such a tool ever! His sound is amazing

We spotted this photo recently and had no idea what it was. What else could it be?
The image circulated across the All Cute offices as we considered all the numerous ways we could use what appeared to be an average tree branch.

We were finally told what it could be used for after inquiring for a day. This branch was employed for a practise that has been practised since the 1500s. This was known as «water dowsing.»If you don’t know what «Water Dowsing» or a «dowsing tool» is, you may be familiar with the terms «diviner,» «doodlebug,» «well witch,» or «water-finder.» If you haven’t already guessed, this tool is used to locate water.

Even though this is more of an old wives’ tale, it was a common practise in the past.

The Y-shaped branch was utilised by holding one end of the stick in each hand, palms facing up. The bottom of the branch, the «Y» stem, is then twisted 45 degrees towards the ground. The person goes back and forth after putting the tool in position.

As the individual walks back and forth, they keep an eye out for the bottom of the Y to move towards the ground. According to folklore, the tremors at the bottom of the Y indicate the presence of water underground.

So you’re probably wondering, «How did this get started?» Dowsing using metal sticks was employed in the 1500s to locate metals in the earth. People moved to the country and used this strategy to find water for their new dwellings as time passed.

The concept was that digging for water in the incorrect spot may soon become very costly. Finding water would be considerably easier and less expensive utilising the water dowser method.

The «myth» was debunked as new technology revealed that water exists beneath the majority of the Earth’s surface.

Nonetheless, the technology was quite sophisticated for its time. In fact, water drilling companies still utilise the water-dowsing process before drilling to ensure that they will get any water at all.

You did well if you knew what the tool was for. Tell us whether your friends knew what it was if you want to see how smart they are.
