As if we needed another reminder that bra tops are back and better than ever, Bella Hadid has become the latest celebrity to embrace the tiny trend (joining Dua Lipa and Eva Longoria) while elevating the look to a whole new level.
The supermodel posted one of her signature captionless photo dumps on Instagram on Thursday, detailing behind-the-scenes moments from a beach day spent shooting for i-D magazine. For the photoshoot, Hadid wore a much less practical — but no less revealing — top made of the tiniest chain link Jacquemus bra held together only by brown heart-shaped and yellow star-shaped charms.
Bella completed the chaotic look by wearing a white bolero with cutouts and a matching wrap maxi skirt with a voluminous tulle underlay, both from the fashion house. To complete the look, the model chose a bronzy no-makeup makeup look and wore her brown hair in damp waves.
In the interview that accompanied Hadid’s photo shoot, the model opened up about her experiences breaking into the industry and dealing with imposter syndrome. «I was so out of body and disassociating during that period of my life… I was perplexed by what others thought of me «She told the newspaper.
«Even now, when I’m sitting on the couch, I see comments on Instagram and wonder, ‘Are they talking about me?’ I’m not sure how I got to the point where people either appreciate my work or recognize me.»
Later, Hadid explained that staying true to herself is the only way she can stay sane in such a crazy industry. «People can make up stories about me; they can imagine whatever version of me they want,» Bella explained. «But I believe that the truth and light always prevail. My true self, who I truly am, and what I stand for will be revealed.»
