This is not the first appearance of the yellow diamond ring.
This afternoon, Zendaya revealed a significant hair makeover on her Instagram Story, but some fans on social media questioned whether the ring she was sporting hinted at a larger life revelation.
The actor disclosed that she had long brown hair during the Spider-Man: No Way Home press tour before going red and short (a classic Mary Jane Watson move). Zendaya captioned the picture, «It was time for a change,» and she named One Eleven Lounge colorist Sarah Shears in the caption.
Fans also observed that Zendaya’s left ring finger was adorned with a yellow diamond band. Given that Zendaya and co-star Tom Holland are a serious couple, some people wondered whether it was an engagement ring, but others were quick to point out that it closely resembled the yellow diamond Bulgari ring Zendaya bought for herself and has worn frequently.
When British Vogue questioned her about the 5- or 6-carat-looking ring for its October issue, she responded, «This is my extravagance, my treat-myself.» She laughed, noting that she received a small employee discount due to her position as a Bulgari ambassador. It gives me the impression that I can one day pass it on to my grandchildren as an heirloom.
Although it usually rests on her right ring finger, Zendaya has been spotted wearing the ring on the press tour:
Even if they were engaged, Zendaya and Tom might decide not to publicly announce it at first because they have made a point of keeping their love life as quiet as possible.
Tom recently discussed his desire to start a family with People. I’ve been so preoccupied with my career for the past six years, he said. I want to take a vacation and concentrate on having a family and deciding what I want to do with my life after this.»
